All Aboard!!
Today was the last day to go to the Polytechnic University and register my classes for the Fall trimester. The thing is that I had no way of getting there since my car is "temporarily out of service" until I get some new tires. So my wife picked me up, but I didn't want to put her through driving me through all the afternoon traffic.
If life were a cartoon, a light bulb would've popped over my head. Why not use that new-fangled urban train everyone's been fussing about?
We left the car at the Martinez Nadal station and hopped on the train heading towards Roosevelt Ave. While admiring the urban landscape, we began to compare and contrast New York's transportation system with this one. We reached our destination terminal, went to the University, finished my registration process, and walked back to the station. Simple as that.
Right now the train services a small part of the Metro area and the fare is a bit pricey for so few stops. On the other hand, both the terminals and cars are nicely kept. In summation, it was an interesting ride and I'll probably be using it more often to avoid the five o'clock rush hour to get to class on time on Wednesday's. For more info about the urban train, head on over to their site.
