Another Sparse Update

After almost two months of not posting, I finally return to share with you some of my recent happenings.

The merging of both our offices at the agency went pretty much without a hitch, but of course we have to iron out a few kinks. There have been issues primarily with the office's phone switchboard. We bought a new one to be installed, but it has been wreaking havoc since it was put in. Calls weren't coming in, leaving clients frustrated and the president infuriated. Before I left for our vacation, the issues weren't resolved, but let the rest of the IT department figure that one out. I needed some time away from that mess!

And time away we spent over in the Lone Star State, Texas. At first, we had some complications at the Houston airport, thanks to the connecting flight we missed. But after my wife's performance of crying her eyes out to a Continental representative, we managed to board the last flight of the day to San Anotnio. Our friend Edwin picked us up as soon as we arrived.

From there we hung out with my wife's dad over at Laredo, crossed the border to Mexico and spent the night over. The culture is varied and the sights impressive! We really enjoyed our time there. Then the rest of our sightseeing trip was divided up between San Antonio, Austin, and back to Laredo. We came back this Friday and hopefully we'll return soon!

Of course, we couldn't return to our little Island without some souvenirs. Being the high tech geek that I am, I finally upgraded iPods. I put my cash down for a brand new 30 Gig iPod photo, filling it up as I write this with all my soundtracks.

We took close to 300 pictures during our vacation and I plan to share them soon on my .Mac homepage. Stay on the lookout for that!
