Me And My Big Mouth
When my wife has her kindergarteners put on a show for their parents, I usually offer the services of my camcorder to get those precious angels on tape, making big bucks in the process. How is that? I import and edit the footage on my PowerBook, then burn the finished movie to a DVD and sell them for $10 a pop.
When I arrived this morning at the school, I went to the cafeteria to set up as usual. Unfortunately, some mom's already took the entire first row. I approached them and said that I was recording this for the Kinder-A parents, to which they asked me:
"Are you going to film all the Kinder students?"
Since the chair I needed was under the person who asked, I said yes. Little did I know it would set off a domino effect of parents begging me to sell them the DVD as soon as it was available. One would think "Yahoo! Mo' money!" But I thought "Aw, crap! More work!" But, thinking it over, it'll give me some non-destructive video editing practice. Now, what app to use: iMovie or Final Cut Express? I've played around with both, but it'll all boil down to which environment I feel more confortable working in.
Only time will tell...
