Lazy Is As Lazy Does

Wow, it's been a couple of days since I came back to post what's been going on in my life. I guess I'll have to bring the blog up to date.
  1. Friday July 23rd: A Diplomatic Day
After work, I met up with some friends to play a bit of Diplomacy. We were continuing a game which we started almost a year ago! The team up consisted of UK and Germany against Turkey and Austria-Hungary. Most of the moves ended up in standoffs because "that's what happens when you play with smart people," to quote one of the players. We had fun and played into the night. Unfortunately, the Sandman got the best of us and we left to play another day.
  2. Saturday July 24th: A Boring Day
I don't have much to say about what I did on Saturday, because I didn't do much at all. It was a bad day outside, raining occasionally. I woke up around 11AM and waited for my wife to get home from the University. When she arrived, she wasn't feeling well. I stayed in to look after her and caught up with my gaming as well. Not a day well spent, but what can you do?
  3. Sunday July 25th: A Cinematic Day
I woke up around 10 or 11AM and went over what my wife and I had planned for the day: return a Brazil flag to my dad, buy a birthday gift for my wife's cousin, buy tickets for The Bourne Supremacy, and meet up for an early dinner at Chili's with my friend Al and his girlfriend. We accomplished all for the day except taking the gift to Las Piedras. This was due to a sudden rainfall which convinced my wife and I to postpone the delivery. Dinner was nice and we covered a couple of topics, from recent movies to the US international policy. Afterwards we hurried to the theater to see the movie. It was full of action and suspense, although the camera movement made me a bit dizzy. Not only that, but I didn't see the first movie, The Bourne Identity; I'll rent it later.
  4. Monday July 26th: A Holiday
It was great to wake up and not have to go to work. My wife made some of her fluffy pancakes for breakfast. Since it was a sunny day out, we headed down to our apartment's pool. We spent an hour soaking in both sun and water, talking of our current and future plans. We left for lunch at our neighboring Wendy's, then took our dog to my parents' house for a much needed bath. After lathering, rinsing, and repeating, Baileys was smelling nice and clean. He excercised by running around the back yard with his "cousin" Akira, a Siberian Huskie puppy that my brother bought himself. I then played some PS2 with my brother and later Baileys, my wife and I left for home.
And there you have it, folks. Sorry to have kept you waiting. ;-)
