Dog, You're Grounded!
If someone didn't know we have no children, last night they would think we were scolding our son or daughter.
We were actually lecturing our dog Baileys! My wife and I got fed up with his behavior, so she pulled his bed from our room and placed it in the hallway. He scurried out and sat in front of our bedroom, waiting to be let back in, but my wife refused to do so. She called me to her side to talk to our pet. At first I found it rather funny the way she spoke to him, saying she was disappointed and the sort. Then I had my say in the matter as well, speaking of how we did everything we could to provide him a good home and not be sent away to the pound. The funny thing is he was looking at us like he understood us and layed down at our feet as if saying he was sorry. What suprised me even more was how he behaved afterward. No barks, no growls, nothing.
It goes to show that animals do understand us more that we really think!
