Cliff Notes Of My Weekend
Okay, so I "postponed" updating my blog. So sue me!
Now that I got that out of my system, here's what (more or less) happened to me recently:
From Tuesday 6th to Friday 9th: WORK. Not much to say, but that we finally separated our office into two networks. Pardon my français, but the entire project was pain in the ass. I hope it works without any more of our intervention.
Ok, on Friday, instead of moping around our apartment, I decided to call up some friends over to play board or video games. Suprisingly, we simply ended playing poker. I've never played the game, but I've been watching Celebrity Poker Showdown on TV and was curious about how to play. We had a fun evening, but no money was won or lost; we played with my Risk's game pieces. Even though it was my first time, I managed in the last round to get a hefty pot. Not bad for a poker newbie!
On Saturday my wife and I slept in and later went out for food at Uno's. Later that evening I went to my friend Digital's to help him with the special effects on the small movie we've been working on. I thought it would be a piece of cake. Boy, was I wrong! You have to go frame by frame and place the effect you want. Tedious? Indeed. But it has to be done so the finalized clips can be reincorporated into the movie and get the results we want.
On Sunday (which ended about 17 minutes ago) my wife and I headed over the the Museo de Arte for some activity that was being held for children. She wanted to see what it was all about in the event that she would have to take her class someday. After that we headed on to Plaza Las Americas, grabbed a bite to eat, bumped into people we each knew and hadn't seen for a long time, and caught the 5 o'clock showing of Dodgeball. The movie was funny and the hits from the rubber balls were solid. Even I was hurting! See the movie if you get a chance. We then left to my aunt's house where they were celebrating my cousin's birthday. At five before nine we flew back to our apartment to catch the premier of The 4400. It's about people abducted from different years in the 20th century and brought back this century. It seems like we're now going to be hooked by this show!
Yet another week, weekend and their summary gone by. The question is: do my readers prefer this summation of events or a day by day account of my life? Like that damned Tootsie Pop question, the world may never know.
