A Burger With A Puppy On The Side

Yesterday I went to have lunch over at Fuddrucker's with the other two IT guys at our office. We grabbed a nice table near a window while we waited for our names to be called out. Upon looking out I noticed someone left a poor defenseless puppy tied to a nearby tree. I got so infuriated I asked our neighboring tables if someone had seen the owner; no luck there. I then called my wife so she could fetch me the number for the local Humane Society. If no one would claim the dog before I finished lunch, I would call the Society to come pick up the dog or take it there.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a couple of kids started playing with the puppy. Apparently a family came to eat at the restaurant as well and decided to leave it outside while they stuffed their faces. This is what really gets my blood boiling. Why stop to eat in a place where you can't bring your pet inside? Why bring it along anyway? If you have it with you then get the food to go!

It really saddens me to see these things happen because shows you the nature of the people who live on the Island.
