My Not-So New Phobia

A long time ago in a college not so far away...

Actually, the time was more or less 5 years and the place was the Mayagüez Campus of the Univesrity of Puerto Rico. A company by the name of Bezerk, makers of the popular quiz game You Don't Know Jack, added to their repertoire of fun and addictive games the one called Acrophobia: The Fear Of Acronyms. My college buddies and I would play for hours on end and never get tired. Well, we'd play until one of the roommates would kick us out of the room.

The object of the game is to think up witty phrases to 3, 4, or 5 letter acronyms. You then vote for the best one and whoever gets the most votes wins! For example, I remember one of the acronyms my friend Rick thought up for the following letters, AEAWV: Almost Edible Atomic Weasel Veal. Its' fast and fun gameplay practically attaches you to your computer wanting to play game after game.

The game then faded from the Web and many people wanted it back online. Well, the company Uproar.com heard our plight and decided to bring back this enjoyable way to pass the time. I really suggest you try it!
