Mr. Sandman, take your best shot!

I have a bad habit, and it doesn't have to do with "consuming mass quantities" of liquor or filling my lungs with tar and excess CO2. I just can't get myself to go to bed early.

Take, for instance, last night. Bedtime: 2am. Why? A couple of reasons...
  1. Working on my first blog
  2. iChatting
  3. Channel surfing
The thing is this behavior goes way back to my high school days. I remember getting home from school, plopping in front of the TV for an hour or so (Tiny Toons and Tazmania were on), take a nap for maybe and hour, wake up for dinner, and begin studying at roughly 8pm. I would hit the books until midnight, where I immediately closed all academic operations so I could watch my favorite TV show: Quantum Leap! I would end up going to bed at 1am to wake up (or better put, pulled out of bed by my mom) at 6am.

So the Surgeon General's recommended 8 hours was never reached, even til this day. I "recharge" during the weekends, waking up near noon, but go to bed even later! I've always considered myself to be a nocturnal person. I guess I must annoy the hell out of the Sandman!
