The Late "Great Communicator"

Yesterday I heard the news that the Ex President of the United States, Mr. Ronald Reagan, had passed away during the afternoon. I'm not very into history or politics, but I knew he did some great things for his country. What really saddened me was he sufferred from Alzheimer's disease, the same sickness my grandfather had before he also passed in August 1993.

That was my first personal experience with death in my family. It was quite a shock and I couldn't believe it, but he was sick for quite a while. It was only a matter of time, but I think I didn't want to believe it. Something I regret sometimes is not being present days before he died. My dad told me it was best to remember him as healthy and full of life not sickly and bedridden. I agreed with him at the time, but I really wanted to say goodbye.

So I join the Reagan's in their mourning and may the pain of his absence pass soon. Always remember, those you loved in life are with you even after they're gone.
