iPods Getting Fatter

I just read a rumor on MacRumors about Toshiba mass-producing a new 1.8-inch 60 GB hard drive... and Apple already put in an early order! The drives will be manufactured during July and August, so I guess we can expect new iPods sometime this Fall.

As of now I have a 10 GB iPod, an "engagement" gift by my then girlfriend (and now wife, of course), which I still use on a daily basis and haven't been able to fill it. So, having more storage space gives me the liberty of higher bit rates on my songs and a place to dump installers, images, videos, or whatever else I need to take on the road. I'll definitely keep an eye out for this one.

By the way, I read someone's signature which had me laughing for quite a while. It read: "I believe in God, and his name is Steve."
