Here A Father, There A Father
This past Sunday was Father's Day and what best way to spend the time than to be with your good ol' dad. Me? I had to calculate how much time to spend with each one in the family, taking into account distance to travel, gasoline prices and meal times!
First we headed towards the middle of nowhere in Puerto Rico: Barranquitas. There my brother's financeé's parents were having a Father's Day party at their ranch. Don't get me wrong; the place is amazing. My only problem is that it's a 2 hour drive through woods and mountains. Even my poor wife got a bit queasy from the trip. We arrived at 3PM and how long did we stay? 2 hours.
We then headed southeast to take the expressway to Caguas, left my wife's mom some pumpkins we got at the ranch as gifts, and then drove up back to Guaynabo to spend some time with my dad's side of the family. We arrived at 6:30PM and how long did we stay? 2 hours.
Finally, we went to Cupey and visited my wife's uncle and aunt where we chatted a bit and watched a baseball game. We arrived at 9PM and, you guessed it, left 2 hours later.
Quite an exhausting Father's Day if you ask me. Now to build up energy for the next holiday. It's a good thing Christmas is still half a year away!

Hey at least you did something on Father day. Or as mami likes to call it, El Dia de los Perros... Ahhh it's awesome being the child of a single-mother-household. So totally kickass.
