Excerpts From Today's Commute

Every morning when I go to work I usually listen to 2 radio stations: La Mega and Total Radio WOSO. This morning I decided to tune in to WOSO and heard the following interesting tidbits:
  • Consumer Reports gave Apple and Dell high marks on their workhorse PC offerings, although Apple's customer service was rated better than Dell's. Go Apple!
  • US Congress is back to debating the possibility of immortalizing the late ex President Ronald Reagan in Mt. Rushmore, alongside Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt. This proposal began in 1999, so we'll have to see whether it gets approved or not. Other possibilities: $10 bill, which has Alexander Hamilton, who helped create the Constitution, but never was president. The dime is also being considered as well.
  • Software programmers usually have to sift through thousands, if not millions, of lines of code when a program refuses to run properly. I can tell you, trying to find a stray comma or semicolon is no easy task! Enter musical debugging. When going over the code, this compiler translates the lines into music and the bugs into bad notes. For more details about this intriguing new way to help programmers, click here.
I guess there are other means to entertain and inform yourself on the way to the office besides listening to three DJs making fun of their callers.
