Evolution In The Office
Previous Episode: Trouble In The IT Sandbox
Today we managed to get my PowerBook to (almost) successfully connect with the new Windows 2003 Small Buusiness Server. I can authenticate with the server, allowing me to log in and the email accounts were configured correctly with Excahange, sending and receiving with no trouble. There's still the issue with the HomeDirectory feature, but I'll see what I can figure out.
So, it was time to deploy the configuration to the rest of the machines! The thing is that most of the Macs were running Jaguar, Apple's operating system before Panther came out. We rallied up all the guys from IT to do a mass install and ended up finishing after 8PM.
As the Croc Hunter would exclaim: Crikey! I sure hope the system purrs like a kitten on our Macs.
